Boss GE-7 Equalizer Pedal item# 1274034492413 New

The BOSS GE-7 is an EQ pedal that helps you shape your guitar tone. It gives you control over seven sound bands made just for guitar. You can boost or cut each one by up to 15dB to clean up muddy tones, add brightness, or make your lead stand out. It has quiet switching, so there’s no extra noise when you turn it on or off. And like all BOSS pedals, it’s tough and built to last—perfect for gigs, practice, and studio use.

Take Control of Your Sound

Use the GE-7 to tweak your tone for solos, rhythm parts, or different rooms. It’s easy to use, and it holds up show after show. Whether you're playing live or recording at home, this pedal helps your guitar sound clear, balanced, and just the way you want.

A Powerful Tool for Any Rig

An EQ pedal is one of the most useful effects you can own. While other pedals add effects like distortion or delay, an EQ changes the tone itself. Use the GE-7 to boost your signal, cut feedback, or shape your sound before it hits your amp. It can fix problems in your tone or help your guitar stand out better in the band. It’s like a Swiss Army knife for your setup—small but powerful.

EQ Pedal FAQs What does an EQ pedal do?

An EQ pedal lets you adjust different parts of your tone—like bass, mids, and treble. You can make your sound brighter, warmer, cleaner, or punchier.

Where should I put it in my pedal chain?

Try these common spots:

  • Before distortion: Changes how your gain sounds.
  • After distortion: Helps shape your overall tone.
  • In your effects loop: Adjusts your amp’s sound before it hits the speakers.
Can I use it as a clean boost?

Yes! You can boost your signal without changing your tone like an overdrive pedal would. It’s great for solos or making your sound pop more.

Is an EQ pedal good for live shows?

Definitely. It helps your guitar sound clear on stage, even in tricky rooms or with loud bands. It also lets you fix your tone on the fly.

Does it work with bass or acoustic guitars?

Yes. While the GE-7 is made for electric guitar, EQ pedals work well with other instruments too. Just make sure the frequency range fits your needs.

Is there a BOSS EQ pedal made for bass?

Yes! Check out the BOSS GEB-7. It’s just like the GE-7 but tuned for bass guitar frequencies. It’s great for shaping low-end tone or cutting out boominess. Bass players love it for both live shows and studio recording.

What’s the difference between the GE-7 and the EQ-200?

The BOSS EQ-200 gives you more features. It has two 10-band EQs, a digital screen, presets you can save, and stereo inputs/outputs. If you want more control or run a complex setup, it’s a great step up. But if you want simple and solid, the GE-7 is still a top pick.

Should I get a graphic EQ or a parametric EQ?

The GE-7 is a graphic EQ, which means it uses sliders for different frequency bands. It’s quick and easy to use. A parametric EQ lets you pick exact frequencies and adjust the width of each band. Those are more flexible but also more advanced. For most guitarists, a graphic EQ like the GE-7 is all you need.
